I was pleasantly surprised with the "firmness" not "tightness" of this slip. It did the job under a clingy dress without being uncomfortable or squeezing too tightly. Due to the special band at the bottom, the slip did not ride up all day, and there was a lot of up-and-down and in-and-out of cars involved.
